The course „Introduction to the EU: Institutions and Policies” is dedicated to the EU institutions and the process of establishment and implementation of the integration policies within the European Union. It provides a systematic and comprehensive view of the approaches and methods of the establishment of the EU policies as well as of the factors, which influence the process of EU policies development. Consideration is given to the main institutions –like the European Commission, European Parliament, Council, European Council, and the decision-making process. The course clarifies the necessity of the existence of concrete integration policies, the policies instruments, as well as the difficulties, problems, links with other policies, and further development of the integration policies. All the current changes in the EU policies are discussed within the course.
