The Orthopaedics and Traumatology course can be defined as a clinical subject on the grounds of its contents and because it is an area of surgery. The main focus of the study is the musculoskeletal system and the related traumatic, congenital, acquired and degenerative osteoarticular diseases which affect the quality of the motor activity. The students study conventional and modern diagnostic and treatment methods and approaches. All the various treatment options are viewed in terms of the individual patient`s needs and the prevention of any undesirable complications. The required foundations of the Orthopaedics and Traumatology course are the thorough knowledge of anatomy and the propaedeutics of surgical diseases.
